wow! what a fast 3 months!

just wanted to post a few quick updates because i thought about you poor bloggiee.
it's been too long.

uhm well new years came and went for me but we had a few new young families move into our small branch here in good old nebraska,
and it's been such a blessing! i've gotten close to one of the ladies and i am so grateful to have her in my life!

and i also found out that 2 of my really good friends are having babies and i am SO excited to have some little ones!

then i got my job back at ken and dales :)
it feel so good to be makin money and actually have goals for once in my life.
and with that being said,
as much as i love my photography and i can't wait to get my computer and camera at the end of the year,
i am seriously considering opening up a cupcake shop here in town...!!!
it's all up in the air, but it's definitely weighing on my mind and i am STOKED!!!

then the couple scary things:

first, only a few people know that last year i found a rather large lump in my chest and i saw a doctor last summer and she told me that most likely it was just nothing.
but i never had a mamogram or ultrasound done because i was broke like it was nobody's business.
well my mom finally called the doctor a few weeks ago and got me an appointment
and i ended up having an ultrasound done.
because of the shape and stuff they couldn't tell me 100% that it was benign
and we scheduled an appointment to have it removed and biopsied.
that was the scariest ordeal of my life because i was awake and numbed and they stuck this giant needle in my chest to suck it out piece by piece...
i was numb but i could feel that thing being ripped apart and ugh...
the only thing that got me through it was singing 'i am a child of god'
over and over in my mind.
SO glad it's over.
and they called me 2 days later to let me know it was a benign tumor.
a fibroadenoma.
so it was a huge relief to me and my family that i do not have breast cancer!!
so one thing i've learned ladies,
check yourself regularly because if i haven't always i would not have found that thing.
and always, always see a doctor and get checked out!!

then the next thing...
2 weeks ago on sunday me and lyndsie were driving home from stake conference in truckiee
from rapid city.
and coming outta chadron we were kinda fishtailing so i put the car in tow and drove like 35 and no joke i was white knuckling the steering wheel because the roads were so bad.
so i was being super duper careful.
well about 6 miles outta town all of a sudden the back end just went sideways and before i knew it me and lyndsie  FLEW into the ditch on the opposite side of the road!
she was like jess! jess!
and i was like we're going in the ditch!!!
and before i knew it we hit super hard and knew for sure we were gonna flip the car!
well the truck was almost flipped over like the pasenger window was kissing the ground and then the car just went  back down.
so god was looking out for us that day because we ended up not flipping. :)
i got out to evaluate the damage and i thought i busted the axel's and everything.
and luckily my parents were only a few miles behind us.
it was quite and ordeal and long story short,
miraculously the only damage was that the tires popped off and the front bumper needs a new clip.
blessed?!! i think so.

there's lots of other things worth writing about but this is just my last 3 months in a nutshell!
crazy i know!!
